A base precision of 0,2% for measurements from 100 Hz to 25 kHz, dual display on LCD alphanumeric screen with back-light , comprehensive measures possibilities: L, C, R (ESR), Z (impedance), M (mutual inductance) but also Q (quality factor), D (dissipation), phase angle or voltage ratio, this is what this RLC bridge offers with small size but performances only found on devices much more cumbersome and expensive.
Unusual in this price range, the device also offers a variety of less common functions, such as characterization of transformers, or measurement of varactor diodes via an optional adapter.
An automatic sorting function is finally given by using an audible and / or light signal.
The connection to components to be tested can be performed using the provided cable with mini-pincers, or using an optional cable with Kelvin clamps for greater accuracy.

The battery life allows for many measurements with a 9V battery, but the device also comes with an external adapter for extended use.

The MW1008P thus completes the range of portable Ormelabs products which includes among others a 4 GHz programmable attenuator and a semiconductor analyzer.
