CAESAR Datasystems QIC CAR PC is designed specifically for mobile operation, offers the ideal platform for both normal data collection from installed sensors, and measurements acquired from CAN, LIN, MOST and FlexRay vehicle bus networks. The rugged construction and wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C allow use in extreme environments. The PC can be optionally configured to store data on fixed ‘disks’ using Compact Flash Cards with capacities up to 8 Gigabyte.
The 8-inch touchscreen with pin-sharp resolution comfortably supports the handling of the CAR PC in mobile applications. The compact video monitor is suitable for direct connection to the PC and is supplied with a mounting foot and ball-joint mounting plate. The touchscreen display offers a genuine (native) resolution of 800x600 pixels, a high quality panel and a brightness of 500 cd/m2. An additional video/audio input supplements the system.

The QIC CAR PC complements the other analog and digital signal conditioning modules in the QIC data acquisition range for measuring strain, force, load, torque, pressure, temperature, flow, displacement and many other physical parameters.

The QIC signal conditioning and data acquisition modules are particularly suitable for the extreme conditions encountered during automotive in-vehicle operation and can be used for both dynamic real-time data collection and long-term logging applications.
