Embedded development kit supports Xilinx processor core

Lauterbach has announced its support for the latest version of MicroBlaze 8.50.c introduced by Xilinx with EDK 14.7. MicroBlaze is a soft processor core designed for Xilinx FPGAs from Xilinx. It is a 32-bit RISC Harvard architecture soft processor core that is included free with both Vivado Design Edition and IDS Embedded Edition.

Its highly flexible architecture, plus a rich instruction set, is optimised for embedded applications.

The EDK (Embedded Development Kit) is an integrated development environment for designing MicroBlaze (and PowerPC) embedded processing systems in Xilinx FPGAs. With its latest release of TRACE32, Lauterbach now supports the latest version of the MicroBlaze core, which is version 8.50.c.
