MAHLE and volytica statistical battery diagnostics for EVs

volytica is presenting its continuous battery monitoring as well as the new E-HEALTH Charge solution, developed in cooperation with MAHLE Aftermarket, at the IT-Trans event in Karlsruhe, Germany.

The battery diagnostics solution delivers valuable information about the health and performance of the high-voltage battery— during the charging process. This enables not only transparent battery analysis, but also strengthens stakeholder trust in electric mobility.

MAHLE Aftermarket has successfully launched the battery diagnostics solution E-HEALTH Charge in Europe. With a measuring time of 15 minutes or less, this is currently the fastest statistical battery diagnosis on the market. The solution is particularly well-suited to fill the independent recommendation of the TÜV association for determining residual capacity (MB FZMO 767). The diagnostics system consists of the E-CHARGE 20 battery charger and the E-HEALTH app, combining charging and battery diagnostics in a single operation. The application is vehicle and manufacturer-independent. E-HEALTH Charge can also be used purely as a DC charger.

The cooperation with volytica is especially important for evaluating the data collected by the charger and the OBD interface. The data is collected in a secure cloud storage system, categorised in relation to previously recorded batteries of the same type, and compared with the original capacity of the vehicle model. Shortly afterwards, the final report is provided via email.

At this year's IT-TRANS, volytica will be presenting its solution at Stand S16 in the DM Arena and as part of the UITP Guided Tour on May 15th from 12:00 - 13:00. IT-TRANS will take place from May 14th–16th, 2024 in Karlsruhe and is the leading trade fair for public transport.
