MVTec Software GmbH will be presenting its portfolio at AUTOMATICA 2016 in Munich. MVTec will provide interactive demonstrations and applications of machine vision technology in automated production environments. The demonstrations are based on MVTec’s HALCON and MERLIC standard software solutions.

MERLIC is the software that enables machine vision applications to be created easily without in-depth programming knowledge. The latest version, MERLIC 2.1, provides further improvements to existing features, optimized user-friendliness and an enhanced MERLIC Engine. Starting with this release, MERLIC will also be available worldwide and in a 64-bit version. Demonstrations at AUTOMATICA will includeEdge-based localization and measurement on an industrial component; Industrial PC with a standard industrial camera and Communication between machine vision software and PLC

One of the new features in HALCON 12.0.2 is reliable and robust bar code recognition. It can reliably read defective codes caused for example by overexposure, or by very narrow, wide or blurry code bars. This results in significantly improved product recognition on automated and continuous production lines. MVTec will present a HALCON demonstration “Industry 4.0 warehouse”.
