IPElog based on a 1.33 GHz fast Atom-processor, has 1 GByte RAM and uses the real-time operating system RTOS-32 with the field proven data acquisition software TESTdrive. Other features are two optional 100Base-TX-Ethernet-measuring inputs, a USB-2.0 port, four digital inputs and four digital outputs as well as intelligent power management features including Wake-On-CAN for all CAN-inputs and multiple trigger-functions. The transfer of online-measurement data to IPEmotion, ETAS INCA, and Vector CANape is done by CAN or XCPonETH. All settings of the measuring configuration can be done easily using the Windows-Software IPEmotion.
The data logger has a 206.5 mm x 72 mm x 151mm (B x H x T) high-quality aluminium housing according to protection standard IP54 and weighs 1890 g. It operates in the temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C at a relative humidity of 5 to 95 %. Voltage of 9 VDC to 36 VDC is required for the power supply. A low power consumption of typically 12 Watt, as well as, no rotating devices like fans or hard-disks make the logger even more suitable for the automotive use. All measuring inputs, power supply and the housing are completely galvanically isolated from each other.
According to Harry Störzer, Head of Application & Support at IPETRONIK, “With IPElog, we enhance our successful M-/S-LOG- and FLEETlog-family by adding an efficient data logger with additional functions and integrated components, which are not available with previous loggers or are only available as external optional component. With the new functions and significant increase in performance, IPElog is the ideal solution for automobile development departments, which must measure multiple CAN-buses with lots of measuring signals and/or high data rates.”
