The Bluetooth SIG has approved the validation report, for the addition of the Enhanced Power Control test case (TRM/CA/14/C in test spec RF.TS/3.0.H.1) to the InterLab® Bluetooth® RF Test Solution, today. The validation report was submitted by 7 layers on 1st October, 2009 for review by the BTI (Bluetooth® Test and Interoperability) work group and the Bluetooth® SIG, who raised no issues during their review. The release of this test case completes the RF testing coverage for Bluetooth® 3.0 + HS, since there are currently no plans to incorporate additional RF test requirements for the high-speed addition of 802.11 technology.

The upgraded validation status of the InterLab® Bluetooth® RF Test Solution will be made public with the next maintenance release of the Test Case Reference List (TCRL) for Bluetooth® 3.0 + HS. However the status update is effective immediately.

Achieving the official validation approval - as the first Test Solution provider in the industry - underlines 7 layers' commitment to provide up-to-date RF testing capabilities to its customer base of manufacturers, BRTFs and BQTFs. This way 7 layers ensures that the InterLab Bluetooth® RF Test Solution keeps pace with the continuous evolution of the Bluetooth® wireless technology. The newly validated test case is made available free of charge to all customers of the InterLab Bluetooth® RF Test Solution who have licensed the Enhanced Data Rate test case package.
