Hand-held device enables IoT testing in the field

A new range of Field Test Devices from French manufacturer Adeunis RF has been added to APC Smartwave’s range of integrated IoT components and solutions. The upgraded, ready-to-use hand-held devices provide an easy way to validate applications ahead of deployment including: sensor networks, asset tracking, smart buildings, metering, security, and M2M.

The Field Test Device can be used worldwide and is available in two formats: a pulse unit and a sensor unit. Both will provide a connection to any operated network using Sigfox and LoRaWAN V1.0.

When connected the device transmits through the used network and the radio frames can be viewed on a web application.

This enables users to check all operating information including GPS co-ordinates, temperature and battery status.

It will also provide critical network data covering: uplink, downlink and SF Packet Error Rates.

With a large LCD screen and a range of up to 15km, the devices feature high precision GPS and incorporate a 10-hour rechargeable battery which can be charged using a mobile phone charger.

The units weigh 150g, can operate in temperatures from -20°C to +75°C and are certified to EN300-200 V2012.
