The fibre fusion splicer range from Fujikura Europe has been strengthened with the addition of the 22S - a new advanced FTTH splicer for single fibre claimed to be the world’s smallest and lightest active V-groove model.   It enables Fujikura to deliver a complete offering of splicing options from the basic, with the 12S, to the very advanced, which is met by the flagship 70S, and everything in between.

The new product is designed for high-end FTTH splicer applications in FTTX, Data Centre / LAN and Access Networks and offers an active V-groove alignment single fibre splicer for reliable and improved splicing performance for a range of different fibres; SMF, MMF, DSF, NZDSF.

It provides advanced capabilities, including splice result storage of 200 splices and 5-16mm short cleave length splicing. Weighing just 1.1kg including battery, it delivers 200 splice/tube heating cycles per full battery charge.
