The controller’s 12 GB/s data bandwidth from the CPU to the PXIe backplane switch is achieved using the PCIe with a potential of up to 24 PCIe lanes. Based on Intel’s i7-4700EQ extended life processor, the M9037A provides the fastest CPU computational measurements available. It offers a front panel x8 PCIe high-bandwidth connection to external PCIe devices, such as a second PXIe chassis or a RAID storage device, providing a unique alternative to using a valuable PXIe instrument slot.
“Our next-generation controller demonstrates Agilent’s ongoing commitment to develop powerful, new products, adding features to our modular platform,” said Agilent’s Mark Pierpoint, vice president and general manager of the Software and Modular Solutions division. “By incorporating the fastest processor available, we are accelerating our customers’ application capabilities and allowing them to easily connect to multiple chassis, external storage devices, and other modular and LXI instruments. This results in improvements in throughput and cost savings.”
