Agilent Technologies has announced the availability of MATLAB data analysis software with the purchase of Agilent 86100C DCA-J oscilloscopes. Combining Agilent oscilloscopes and MATLAB data analysis software enables engineers to confidently analyze, visualize and filter signals. Users are able to obtain high-quality instrumentation and data-analysis software from a single source, simplifying work processes and saving engineers' time.
Many of Agilent's customers already use MATLAB software, and it is extremely important to them, said Scott Sampl, vice president and general manager of Agilent's oscilloscope business. Our customers can now quickly and easily buy a complete hardware and software solution from Agilent, which gives them more time to focus on creating and testing high-quality designs.

Using MATLAB for signal analysis, visualization and filtering expands the power of Agilent oscilloscopes, said Roy Lurie, vice president of engineering for MATLAB products at The MathWorks. Agilent customers now have the convenience of including their MATLAB data analysis software on the same purchase order as their instrument and the confidence of having a MATLAB installation that is qualified and supported by Agilent.

The Agilent 86100C DCA-J oscilloscope now has purchase options that allow customers to include task-optimized configurations of MathWorks products:

* The Agilent Option 061 MATLAB - basic oscilloscope package provides an introductory software package for configuring and controlling Agilent instruments and performing basic signal and visualization tasks from the MATLAB environment.

* The Agilent Option 062 MATLAB - standard oscilloscope package adds functionality for filtering oscilloscope signals and analyzing signal processing schemes.

Agilent's complete portfolio of oscilloscopes is available in a variety of form factors, with bandwidths ranging from 20 MHz to 90 GHz. These oscilloscopes offer industry-leading specifications and powerful applications.

These new instrument options extend the availability of MATLAB with Agilent products. On Sept. 23, 2008, The MathWorks and Agilent announced the availability of MATLAB with the purchase of Agilent's EXA, MXA, or PSA signal and spectrum analyzers. On Jan. 28, 2009, The MathWorks and Agilent announced the availability of MATLAB with the purchase of Agilent's InfiniiVision 5000, 6000, 7000 Series and Infiniium 90000 Series oscilloscopes.
