“The Aeroflex 3900 with Auto-Test II is a major breakthrough in radio test technology. Now users of the Aeroflex 3900 Series can eliminate their computer as an integral part of the alignment and test of Motorola radios,” said Rob Barden, Director of Product Marketing for Aeroflex. “Motorola XTS-5000 radio operators can confidently test and align their radios simply by pushing a button.”
The Aeroflex 3900 connects directly to the radio via a USB or RS-232 connection and controls the radio directly without the need for a separate computer. It is entirely a closed loop system. Since it does not rely on an external computer, this new application is significantly faster than current automated test and alignment software. In addition, the 3900’s inherent accuracies mean that the radios are aligned to a much higher standard than was previously available.
Aeroflex is a licensee of the control command technology from Motorola. Aeroflex currently provides a wide range of features for a number of Motorola radio technologies, including Project 25 and HPD®.
The new Auto-Test II application will be available in October 2008 as a charged for option.
