Provider of globally-deployed innovative test solutions for military, aerospace, and manufacturing organisations, Marvin Test Solutions, has announced that production shipments of the new MTS-3060A, SmartCan Gen2 Universal O-Level Armament Test Set have started in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The MTS-3060A has already been selected by multiple countries to support flightline test ensuring mission readiness of complex armament systems flown on the F-15, F-16, F/A-18, and Hawk.

Since its introduction, Marvin Test Solutions’ MTS-3060 SmartCan Universal O-Level Armament Test Set has been the choice of an increasing number of customers worldwide for O-Level test of smart and legacy armament systems, replacing multiple obsolete test sets with a single handheld test solution that is smaller and easier to use while providing enhanced test capabilities.

Building on the features of the MTS-3060 that provide full testing capabilities for MIL-STD-1760 based systems, the new MTS-3060A SmartCan Gen2 delivers augmented test capabilities, expanded weapons capability, enhanced cyber security, extended battery life, and additional communication channels.

Additionally, the MTS-3060A SmartCan Gen2 aims to make test procedure development easier, employing Marvin Test Solutions’ ATEasy, a full-featured test executive and test development software suite. ATEasy’s open architecture makes test easy with a simple-to-learn programming environment, comprehensive hardware and software simulation, and online user support through the M@GIC customer portal.

“The SmartCan Gen2 delivers significant new and advanced features that make test easy at the flightline,” said Major General Stephen T. Sargeant, USAF (Ret.), CEO of Marvin Test Solutions. “Our customers will benefit from more comprehensive test capabilities with robust, built-in cyber security features that help to ensure mission readiness both today and well into the future.”
