TTI, Europe, a specialised distributor of electronic components and authorised distributor of TE Connectivity (TE) for connectors, switches, passive components, and relays, now carries their broad portfolio of sensor technologies for HVAC, rail, industrial, and medical solutions, as well as new space, urban mobility, eVTOL, and vehicle electrification.

As a trusted partner of TE for defence, aerospace and space applications, TTI’s team of technical sensor experts is here to help navigate the complex world of sensors.

“Over the last five years, TE Sensors has acquired multiple premium sensor brands, including Measurement Specialities, Betatherm, AST, First Sensor, SMI, and Jaquet to name just a few,” said Ros Kruger, Director of Technical Marketing, Europe & Supplier Marketing, Sensors & Power, TTI. “TE’s broad portfolio of high-performance sensor technologies is capable of measuring most physical characteristics like pressure, temperature, position, vibration, humidity, and fluid property to name but a few, even in the harshest conditions.”

TE has been supplying European Space Agency (ESA)-qualified NTC thermistors to space initiatives for more than 20 years, and has recently launched a low-cost version for the growing Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite market. As a chosen partner, TTI will continue to actively support and grow TE’s sensor technology customer base in defence, aerospace and space applications and develop further opportunities for other markets.

A good example of sensors finding new applications is the TE Sensors AST brand of harsh environment pressure sensors. Traditionally used in strain gauge and pressure vessel applications, these ATEX-certified products are now being used in electrolysers for the production of green hydrogen. Another example is the TE Sensor Measurement Specialties brand of miniature pressure sensors; these lightweight parts are suitable for wide temperature extremes and are now being used in LEO satellites, drones, robotics, and medical devices.

As one of the largest sensor companies in the world, TE Sensors can depend on TTI’s sensor technology experts to help design engineers transform concepts into creations.
