Now being shipped by distributor Mouser Electronics are the CT430, CT431, and CT450 XtremeSense tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) sensors from Crocus Technology.

These sensors are high-bandwidth and ultra-low-noise integrated contact current sensors.

They use Crocus’ patented XtremeSense TMR technology to enable high-accuracy current measurements for many consumer, enterprise, and industrial applications.

The CT430 and CT431 sensors support six current ranges. The integrated current-carrying conductor (CCC) handles up to 50 A of current and generates a current measurement as a linear analogue output voltage.

The device delivers a total output error of less than ±1.0% full-scale (FS) over voltage and the full temperature range.

Additionally, the sensors achieve less than 1.0 µs output response time, with current consumption of about 6.0 mA that immune to common mode fields.

The Crocus CT450 is a high-bandwidth, low-noise integrated contactless current sensor with XtremeSense TMR technology to enable high-accuracy current measurements.

It supports eight field ranges, sensing and translating the magnetic field into a linear analogue output voltage.

The sensor features a total error output of less than ±1.0% over voltage and temperature, with an output response time of less than 1.0 µs and current consumption of approximately 5.0 mA.

Applications for all three series of sensors include solar and power inverters, smart appliances, motors and generators, power supplies, battery management, and power utilities.
