Palm vein authentication sensor suits mobile devices

A portable sensor capable of directly connecting to USB ports has been introduced by Fujitsu and Fujitsu Frontech. The device, to be added to the FUJITSU Biometric Authentication PalmSecure-SL Sensor line of contactless palm vein authentication devices for enterprises, will be available in Japan from late September.

The sensor’s ability to directly connect to USB ports eliminates the need for USB cables with mobile applications, making it easier to use devices such as tablets in the field.
