Variohm EuroSensor has released the new SMO3100 which is able to provide wide ranging automotive pressure application solutions. With E1 automotive approval, a wide selection of pressure ports and electrical interfaces plus an extensive choice of range options, Variohm´s new and competitively priced SMO3100 series ratiometric transducer will suit applications in demanding automotive environments such as motorsports, off-road vehicles, construction and agricultural machinery.

Durability is ensured with a high strength 304 stainless steel housing including optional IP69K environmental protection. The excellent EMC properties of the 0.5-4.5V output sensor include successful model testing up to 300V/m.

High resistance to shock and vibration coupled with generous over-range and burst pressure and up to 10 million pressure cycles, plus a 100 year MTTFd factor demonstrate its endurance. Further environmental specifications include measuring medium temperature range from -40 to 125°C with a compensated range from -20 to 85°C.

The sensor is based on well proven technology with a piezo resistive sensing element and latest ASIC circuitry to provide high accuracy, linearity and repeatability through twenty pressure range options from 0.5-4000bar.

The SMO3100 is available for absolute, gauge and vacuum pressure measurement. Nine port configuration options include most commonly required types in NPT, UNF and metric thread sizes whilst electrical interfacing covers cable, miniature and standard EN175301 plus M12 and Packard Metripac connectors.
