Automotive high temperature sensor reference design

The main focus of the TIDA-01235 reference design is to provide a high density, low cost, and good accuracy thermocouple analogue front end. The protection strategies involved in the design protect the analogue front end from coupling transients.

This design meets the requirements of automotive-exhaust gas temperature sensors.

Features

  • Compatible with Type N thermocouple probes
  • Design specifications for  -40°C to 1,300°C (temperature range of thermocouple)
  • Accuracy of of < ±1°C over temperature range -40°C to 1,300°C
  • Implements Cold Junction Compensation (CJC) using LMT01-Q1 based
  • Protection against coupling transients, surge transients on thermocouple front end
