Supercapacitors deliver high power in small volumes
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a series of ENYCAP energy storage supercapacitors for energy harvesting, power backup and UPS power source applications. Available in power and energy versions with high stability, 220 EDLC ENYCAP series devices deliver high power density and capacitance values in small case sizes ranging from 16x20 to 18x31mm.
For the industrial, telecomms and PC markets, the polarised energy storage capacitors released today offer power density to 4.1Wh/kg, capacitance values from 15 to 40F, and a maximum rated voltage of 2.7V. 220 EDLC ENYCAP series devices feature very low internal resistance and rapid charge and discharge performance. The through-hole capacitors offer long leads and are RoHS-compliant.
Samples and production quantities of the 220 EDLC ENYCAP series devices are available now, with lead times of 6-8 weeks for larger quantities.
