Bentek has successfully integrated its Power Economiser into the company's residential Rapid Shutdown System (RSS). The Bentek RSS is a cost-effective, easy-to-install universal standalone solution, that has been tested and approved by residential string inverter manufactures and installers worldwide.

The RSS module includes two components: The Rapid Shutdown Controller (RSC), installed at the service entrance, and the Rapid Shutdown Module (RSM), installed on the residential roof top within 3m of the PV array.

“The Power Economiser is a Bentek proprietary designed PCBA, and when integrated into the Bentek RSM, reduces power consumption by more than 50%,” said John H. Buckley, Executive of Sales and Marketing, Bentek. “As the Bentek RSS continues to gain customer acceptence and more southern states adopt and enforce NEC 2014 690.12 Rapid Shutdown requirements, Bentek is seeing customers benefit from the Power Economiser when temperatures soar on residential rooftops. The Bentek Power Economiser integrated into the RSS ensures our customers that the Bentek RSM can be installed in this type of environment and function properly.”
