Additional connectivity solutions have been integrated into the BMZ Drive System from BMZ. A smartphone is used to link the E-bike to an intelligent network. This brings new features to the vehicle like social media community interactions.

The smartphone also serves the cyclist as an on-board computer, providing information on the battery and motor. At the same time, the rider can easily change vehicle settings. BMZ is working on connectivity alongside German-Estonian subsidiary Comodule.

A smartphone becomes an on-board computer with ‘BMZ Connect C’
The smartphone app by Comodule allows riders to achieve a new dimension of communication with their bikes. Adjusting the drive system, easy navigation with range displays, or the direct support interface provide an improved product experience for E-bikes with BMZ Drive Systems and Comodule technology.

The Comodule Analytics online platform visualises performance data for the BMZ drive system. A communication channel between analytics and the user’s smartphone ensures a better customer relationship and better service. Knowledge gained through this channel is integrated into BMZ Drive Systems product development, to shorten development cycles and continue addressing customer needs.
