Featuring its new 5V/2.4A TMW12 USB series of medical wall mount adapters, TRUMPower has designed them in black or white in colour, with a USB socket on the case or a moulded output cable with a DC plug. The switching power adapters feature 90-264VAC, 47 to 63Hz universal input in fixed or interchangeable AC plug configurations. There are four different types of AC wall plugs to meet worldwide requirements; US, EU, UK, and Australian.

The units have touch current of 100µA maximum. The 5V output power supply delivers 12W of continuous output power and comes with the built-in USB type A receptacle on the case as its standard. TRUMPower offers other connector options such as Mini USB type A and B, Micro USB type A and B, or barrel connectors and can also accommodate special requests.

The wall mount adapters are protected against over voltage, over current, and short-circuit conditions. The units can withstand 4,000VAC from input to output (2 MOPP). They have a minimum efficiency of 83% at full load and can operate at an ambient temperature range of 0-40°C. MTBF is 300K hours minimum at full load, 25°C ambient, calculated per Telecordia SR-332

The TMW12 series is certified by UL/cUL, CB, TUV/GS to the latest medical standards, including UL/IEC/EN 60601-1 (Edition 3.1), IEC 62366:2007+A1, EN 62366:2008+A1, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1 (2012), CSA C22.2 No. 60601-1 (2014) and by CB to IEC/EN 60950-1 2nd edition ITE standards.

It also has PSE (J60950-1 and J55022) approvals. The power adapter meets IEC/EN 60601-1-2 4th edition medical EMC and immunity standards including EN 55011, CISPR 11, FCC class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3, EN 61000-4-2 (ESD at 15kV air and 8kV contact), EN 61000-4-3, EN 61000-4-4, EN 61000-4-5, EN 61000-4-6, EN 61000-4-8, EN 61000-4-11. The units are DOE/GEMS level VI and ErP stage II compliant.
