UltraVolt, Inc., the manufacturer of standard-product high-voltage DC-DC converters, today announced the availability of standard lead times for all modules ordered with the RoHS-compliance option.
UltraVolt achieved compliance with the parameters of the RoHS directive, or the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment, by eliminating the six banned substances of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, poly-brominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers. By conforming to the RoHS standard, UltraVolt's power supplies will dramatically benefit design engineers and OEMs manufacturing products that will be distributed to the European market. Currently, all modules are available as RoHS-compliant units with normal lead times as an option, with plans to make this the standard version in the coming months. Full details of the RoHS directive can be found at www.rohs.eu.
