The first energy link connecting Germany and the UK

The European Investment Bank (EIB) – part of a consortium of more than 20 international banks – has agreed on the financing structure of the first ever energy link connecting Germany and the United Kingdom. The investment to build this interconnector will amount to €2.8bn, with the EIB set to contribute up to €400 million for the financing of the European part. The investor consortium is led by French investor Meridiam, Allianz Capital Partners, and Japanese company Kansai Electric Power.

EPC Space announces two new rad-hard (radiation-hardened) GaN transistors with ultra-low on-resistance and low gate charge for high power density solutions. These solutions are lower cost and more efficient than the nearest comparable radiation-hardened silicon MOSFET.

P-DUKE launches high-power density DC/DC converter

P-DUKE has launched its high-power density DC/DC converter series in a SIP-8 package named PDL12W. It expands P-Duke’s SIP8 casing DC/DC converter range from 2W to 9W with a 12W version.

There are three 4:1 input voltage ranges available: 4.5-18, 9-36 and 18-75VDC allowing 25V, 50V, and 100V transient pulses for 1 second. Available output voltages are 3.3, 5, 5.1, 9, 12, 15, 24, ±5, ±12, and ±15VDC which provide up to 12W output power.
