TRUMPower launches the TMP220 series of fanless medical grade AC/DC desktop power adapters, which has both class I and class II insulation. Offering high power of 220W, the TMP220 series is an addition to the 180W and 200W medical power adapters that the company has had on the market.
The TMP220 class II units, furnished with an IEC 320/C8 AC inlet without a ground pin, are doubly insulated to provide proper safety protection where the availability and integrity of an earth cannot be guaranteed. Class I units come with an IEC 320/C14 AC inlet that has a ground pin. The series offers standard single output voltages of 19V, 24V or 28V with continuous output power of up to 220W. Non-standard output voltages are available upon request. The units come with a Molex mini-fit receptacle or 4-pin power DIN plug as the standard output connector. TRUMPower offers many other connector options and can accommodate special requirements.

The TMP220 series is approved by UL, cUL and TUV to the latest 3rd edition EN 60601-1, IEC 60601-1, UL 60601-1 medical standards, including ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1:2005 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60601-1:08 and to the latest 2nd edition IEC/EN 60950-1 ITE standards. The power supply complies with EN60601-1-2 EMI standards including EN55011/FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11.

The earth leakage current is 300 µA maximum @ 264 VAC, 60 Hz. With standby power consumption lower than 0.5W and efficiency higher than 87%, the units are in compliance with CEC and Energy Star efficiency level V requirements. The power supply carries CE marking and is RoHS compliant as well.

The power supply has a 90 to 264 VAC continuous input range with 0.95 active power factor. The withstand voltage is 4000VAC from input to output and 1500VAC from input to ground. The units can operate from 0°C to +40°C and can be stored at -20°C to +80°C. The MTBF is higher than 125,000 hours at full load and 25°C ambient per MIL-HDBK-217F. Output protections include short-circuit, over voltage, over load, and over temperature.

The TMP220 series is competitively priced at $96.97/ea in OEM quantity.
