As GaN takes centre stage in conversations around power electronics and in key energy-intensive industries, GaN Systems will deliver presentations at several conferences worldwide. Various key executives and experts will be speaking about the impact and opportunities GaN brings in improving and creating new energy efficient systems and how the technology is innovating industries, including wireless charging in consumer electronics and industrial applications.

GaN Systems’ experts will be participating at several industry events and conferences through to November 2019, including the AirFuel Members Meeting, Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo, IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), Charge Expo, and the China Power Supply Society (CPSS) conference.

As consumers move towards cutting the power cord, wireless charging, especially high power and faster charging technology - continues to capture attention as it expands beyond charging the smart phone, laptop, and wearables to e-bikes and e-scooters, robots, and drones.

GaN Systems will participate in several upcoming power electronics conferences - WiPDA 2019 (Workshop on Wide Bandgap Power Devices and Applications) in Raleigh, N.C. from 29th-31st October, 2019; the CPSS 2019 conference held in Shenzhen, China in early November.

At the CPSS event, GaN Systems will announce the winning teams of the 'GaN Systems Cup' design competition at the live finals and awards ceremony happening on 1st November, 2019. The annual challenge, which is sponsored by GaN Systems in participation with CPSS, China Power Society Science Popularisation Committee, and Tsinghua University, supports worldwide innovation in the power electronics industry leveraging the benefits of GaN transistors.

Additionally, at WiPDA, GaN Systems will be participating in a panel session, 'GaN Power Device Market Adoption - What is the Status and What are the Barriers and Accelerators to Market Penetration?' on 30th October. The company will also be presenting a paper session, 'GaN HEMT Outperforms Silicon in Low Frequency Applications'.

“There’s an explosion of interest around GaN semiconductors and it shows with the amount of conferences from power electronics to industry events that are covering this topic,” said Paul Wiener, VP of Strategic Marketing for GaN Systems. “This represents an exciting time for us as we’re able to lead conversations in the limitless possibilities for power electronics by utilising GaN.”
