Dual, triple, and quad output AC/DC switching power supplies from Tumbler Technologies + TRUMPower have been upgraded to comply with the new IEC 62368-1 standards which will replace IEC 60950-1 from 20 December this year.

The TW150 series of power supplies comprises three standard models of dual outputs, three triple output standard models and seven quadruple-output standard models. The output combination covers 3.3, 5.0,12, 15V, 24V, 28V and 48V, to deliver 150W of continuous output power at 30 CFM forced air or 120W at convection cooling on open PCB and U-bracket form factors.

The compact, open frame PCB design measures just 76mm x 127mm and 34.5mm high (three inches x five inches and 1.36 inches high). The U-bracket version has the same dimensions and is 40mm (1.57 inches) high. Operating at a 90 to 264V AC universal input, the power supplies have over-temperature, over-load and short-circuit protection. Ambient operating temperature is 0°C to +60°C, derating linearly from 100% load at +40°C to 50% load at +60°C. MTBF is 100,000 hours-minimum at full load, 25°C ambient, calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F. The power supplies’ efficiency is 80% (typical) at full load. The series also has an active power factor correction (PFC) up to 0.99. The power supply series is RoHS-compliant and approved to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1:2014, CAN/CSA 22.2 No. 62368-1-14 and complies with EMC and immunity standards including EN 55022, FCC, CISPR 22, Class B. TRUMPower specialises in medical and industrial grade AC/DC switching power supplies and DC/DC converters. The company was founded in 1991. Its medical grade power supplies range from 4W to 1200W and its line of IT equipment- grade AC/DC power supplies ranges from 3W to 1400W and includes wall mount, desktop, open frame, and ATX PC form factors.

The company can meet low volume or high volume power supplies requirements and says its service is characterised by prompt responses and cost-effective power solutions.
