Stackpole expands power rating of chip resistor series

Stackpole has expanded the power rating of its CSNL2512 series to 3 Watts, in response to the challenge some engineers face in finding sense resistors that deliver both a high power-to-size ratio and affordable pricing.

Stackpole’s CSNL2512 series addresses offers an impressive 3-watt power rating in a compact package, with low TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance) and resistance values as low as 0.2 milliohms. This balance of performance and cost-effectiveness makes the CSNL2512 a standout solution for demanding applications.

Key advantages of the AEC-compliant CSNL2512 include:

  • Exceptional stability: Resistance change of less than 1% across a range of industry-standard tests, including load life, short-time overload, and biased humidity
  • High power density: Enables reliable performance in compact designs, helping to reduce overall system size and weight

The combination of high power and low resistance values makes the CSNL well-suited for applications such as electric vehicles, power tools, HVAC controls, instrumentation, programmable power supplies, networking and infrastructure equipment, and communications equipment.
