Smaller input range saves LED power supply cost

Mean Well has announced that its PLM-12/25 PFC constant current mode LED power supplies have garnered outstanding feedback since their release. In order to target demand from areas that only use 230VAC input, Mean Well has modified the input voltage range from 110-295VAC to 180-295VAC for its latest release, the competitively priced PLM-12E/25E series.

The PLM-12E/25E series follows the mechanical design and electrical specification of the original PLM-12/25 series, cutting out unnecessary voltage from the range. Constant current output of 350/500/700/1050mA is retained, as is a built in active PFC function, no load power consumption of under 0.5W and setup time of less than 500ms. The devices are cooled by free air convection and feature an I/O push clamp terminal block.

The units, which feature short-circuit protection, are suitable for operation in the temperature ranges of -30 to +50°C, and -30 to +45°C, applicable to the PLM-12E and PLM-25E, respectively. The supplies, suitable for use in lighting and moving signage applications, are ENEC/CB/CE approved and come with 2 years warranty.
