Power-One has introduced the SSQE48T20033, a 3.3Vout, 20A, sixteenth-brick. This competitively-priced, isolated DC-DC converter boosts power density up to 56 watts per square inch while increasing efficiency to well above 90% in communications, data server/storage, and workstation applications.

Additional performance features include an ultra-low profile of 0.374”, full Telco input voltage range of 36-75V with the capability to withstand a 100 V input transient for 100ms, on-board input differential LC-filtering, start-up into pre-biased loads, and +10%/−20% output trim. Interface capabilities include remote sense and remote on/off with a positive or negative logic option. Protections include overtemperature, output overvoltage and overcurrent, and input undervoltage.

The SSQE48T20033 utilizes a DOSA-compliant footprint and trim equations. Models are available with six-substance and lead-solder-exempted RoHS compliances. All materials meet UL94, V-0 flammability ratings. UL60950-1/CSA60950-1 and IEC/EN60950-1 certifications are pending approval. This product is designed to meet FCC and EN55022 Class B conducted emissions when used with an external filter.

Pricing is $25 each in quantities of 1000. Samples are usually available from stock. Production quantities are typically available in 10 to 12 weeks.
