The LZSa range of compact single-output power supplies from Lambda has now been extended to include not only 500 watt models, but also new 1000 watt and 1500 watt units. All models in the range feature rugged construction, ensuring reliable operation even in harsh environments, and have comprehensive protection against transients on the mains input.
Suitable for universal operation from AC supplies in the range 85 to 265V at 47 to 440Hz and DC supplies in the range 100 to 400V, Lambda LZSa power supplies have a nominal output voltage of 24V DC. User adjustment of the output voltage is possible from 18 to 29.4V, allowing it to be accurately matched to the needs of the application. Remote sensing to compensate for cable voltage drops is also supported.

LZSa supplies rated at 1000 watts are also available with a nominal 12V DC output.

All models in the range combine high operating efficiency with a superior thermal design, ensuring a long reliable service life, even when operating continuously at the maximum recommended ambient temperature of 71ºC. To demonstrate its confidence in the long-term reliability of the units Lambda offers them, as standard, with a five-year warranty.

To facilitate their use in demanding industrial applications, LZSa power supplies incorporate overvoltage, overcurrent and thermal protection. They also feature opto-coupled transistor outputs to indicate AC fail, DC good and inverter OK and a further output to provide a 200kHz synchronisation signal from the switching converter. Remote on/off control and remote output voltage adjustment are supported.

Fully compliant with EN60950-1 and its international equivalents, as well as FM 3600, 3611 and 3810, power supplies in the Lambda LSZa range carry the CE marking. In addition, they satisfy the requirements of EN55022/EN55011 Class B, together with EN61000-6-6, for EMC performance.
