Saft Nife showcases advanced battery technology for reliable standby and photovoltaic energy applications

Saft Nife ME Ltd, the Middle East representative of the world leader in the design and manufacture of high-technology industrial batteries, is showcasing its advanced battery technology for a wide range of standby and photovoltaic energy applications where dependability, low maintenance and low total cost of ownership (TCO) are paramount. Visitors to Stand 2A20 in Hall 2 will be able to see several of Saft Nife’s advanced battery ranges.

The Uptimax range of low maintenance nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) pocket-plate batteries is designed for maximum reliability, long life and optimum TCO. Uptimax batteries’ ability to operate for long periods at temperatures of + 40℃ or more, with an operational life of at least 12 years, makes them ideal for the oil & gas, utility and electricity industries.
Also on show are Saft Nife’s SBLE, SBM and SBH ranges of pocket-plate Ni-Cd block batteries, which offer one of the industry’s widest choices of robust batteries for stationary back-up applications. They are designed to offer 20-plus years of reliable service, with robust construction that withstands wide temperature fluctuations.

Photovoltaic efficiency
For photovoltaic applications, Saft Nife is showing its Sunica.plus Ni-Cd batteries which are ideal for storing diesel-generated and alternative energy in off-grid applications, such as mobile telecom sites with photovoltaic systems.

Sunica.plus batteries offer high efficiency, high reliability and low maintenance – with topping up intervals as high as four years – together with the ability to operate in extreme temperatures (from –50°C to +70°C) and at any state of charge. They also offer a predictable service life of 20 years or more.
