Rutronik is offering Li-MnO2 button cells in customisable blister packs from EEMB, tailored for portable, small electronic devices. These button cells are designed to be compact, lightweight, and boast a long service life.

The CR2032 lithium manganese dioxide cells from EEMB come in blister packs of five. These packs can be customised based on project volume, according to customer requirements. The benefits of these blister packs include ease of handling and a protective function for the batteries against moisture, dust, and mechanical stress. Furthermore, with bespoke packaging, they can serve as an additional or backup battery for customer service applications. The non-rechargeable primary battery is optimally suited as a memory and Real-Time Clock (RTC) backup.

The button cells employ lithium manganese dioxide (Li-MnO2) technology, notable for their minimal weight of approximately 3.0g and reliable performance across a broad ambient temperature spectrum from -20°C to +70°C. This technological advantage sets them apart from other primary battery technologies, rendering them ideal for portable and small electronic appliances.

Moreover, they feature a self-discharge rate of just ≤3%, ensuring that Li-MnO2 batteries maintain a substantial amount of their stored energy for years, even when not in use.

Key specifications include:

  • Size: CR2032
  • Nominal voltage: 3.0V
  • Nominal capacity: 210mAh
  • Operational temperature range: -20°C to +70°C
  • Self-discharge rate of ≤3%

These batteries find applications in various domains, such as:

  • PC boards
  • Clocks
  • Communication tags
  • Keyless access systems
  • Electronic meters (water, gas, electricity)
  • Remote controls
  • Factory Automation (FA) instruments, including measuring instruments, onboard microcomputers, and sensors.
