Applications for precision resistors are becoming more common. For those applications with high power requirements, this can be challenging as many of these devices require lower power ratings for high precision.

Stackpole recently released the RNCU ultra high-power thin film chip resistors that provide high power ratings and excellent precision. The AEC-compliant RNCU is a 1206-size chip with a 1-watt power rating and offers tolerances down to 0.1% and TCRs as low as 10 ppm. The RNCU has excellent electrical and environmental stability showing minimal resistance shifts over most industry standard tests and is anti-sulphur per ASTM-B-809-95 with shifts less than 1%.

Pricing for the RNCU varies with tolerance and TCR and ranges from $0.18 to $0.35 each for the most common values and sizes in full package quantities. Contact Stackpole or one of our franchised distributors for volume pricing. Popular values and sizes are in stock.
