Resettable fuses achieve 0.1A holding current at 6Vdc

Bourns MF-ASML/X Multifuse series of low resistance surface mount Polymer Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) resettable fuses are available at TTI Europe.

The new models include holding current ratings of 0.10A and 0.20A at 6V maximum rated voltage.

Bourns’ proprietary low resistance conductive materials have post trip resistance values as low as 1.6 Ohms and initial resistance values as low as 0.1 Ohms.

Low resistance values help boost the current carrying capability of the devices.

The expanded MF-ASML/X model family can now achieve a low 0.1A holding current at 6Vdc in a tiny 0402 package (Model MF-ASML010/6-2).

The primary applications for these products include wearables, Li-ion battery packs, motherboards, and portable consumer electronic I/O port protection.

These devices have been designed to protect against both overcurrent and overtemperature events within the products’ designated specifications.
