The new box incorporates a new intergral in-line transfer assembly along with a Quaife ATB differential as standard.
The result of this careful design work is a competitively priced new 4×4 gearbox. Quaife’s popular digital gear position indicator is also directly compatible with the new QBE87G, and is available as an optional extra.
Incorporating the lessons learnt on the popular QBE69G unit, the new QBE87G also utilises 90mm shaft centres and larger gears to maximise strength, with a well proven modular six speed gear cluster layout.
Initially the QBE87G 4×4 gearbox will be offered with a bellhousing for the RS500 as standard with other ‘hybrid’ bellhousings being modified to other applications by Quaife to order. Various input shaft options are also available from Quaife on request to suit the customers requirements, see technical specifications.
