VxI Power has introduced a 130W AC-DC switch-mode power supply that operates in conjunction with a single backup battery to provide a robust and reliable source of power for mission-critical industrial applications
Available in both 12V and 24V versions, the Oracle III-130 features link-selectable input voltage ranges of 90-132V or 180-264V and is equipped with one main output, one temperature-compensated battery-charger output and two auxiliary outputs.

In the event of a mains failure, the backup battery supplies power to the load via an internal diode, thereby ensuring that the output is maintained without interruption.

The Oracle III-130 is a convection-cooled unit that can deliver 130W continuously at the maximum permissible ambient temperature of 55degC. Temperature compensation of the battery charger circuit extends all the way down to the minimum operating temperature of –25degC.

Built-in protection circuitry guards against short-circuit overloads and overvoltages, while an undervoltage lockout facility prevents damage to the battery when it is fully discharged.

The Oracle III-130 incorporates volt-free relays and LEDs for monitoring system status, and these can be factory-configured to meet the user’s specific requirements. In addition, the power supply is available with an optional battery-test facility.

Manufactured using Pb-free components, the Oracle III-130 is RoHS compliant and meets the requirements of the EN60950 safety standard as well as the EN6100-6-4 and EN6100-6-2 standards for EMI emissions and immunity in heavy industrial environments.
