When used with SynQor’s half‑brick AC line filter, a hold‑up capacitor and SynQor’s high efficiency Mil‑COTS DC/DC converters, the system draws nearly perfect and well-balanced sinusoidal line currents (PF>0.99) from a 3‑Phase AC/DC input. The complete front-end system is designed to comply with MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1399 and MIL-STD-461 and MIL‑STD‑810G.
Delivering 1500W of continuous output power with peak power capability of 2000W, the module provides a nominal semi‑regulated 270 Vdc output with efficiency at 94%. It also has a feature to access the mid‑bus voltage (loosely regulated 205 Vdc nominal) which if utilised as the primary output increases the overall efficiency of the module to over 95%.
This module is a true 3‑phase PFC module, not a composite of three single‑phase PFC modules. It can operate at full power from ‑55°C to +100°C baseplate temperature, and it is perfectly suited for harsh environments seen in many military/aerospace applications.
