Power blocks resist high-temperatures, shock & vibration

Designed specifically for industrial use in environments featuring shock, vibration and temperature extremes, the TEQ 200WIR series of high performance DC/DC power blocks has been announced by Powersolve. All eight models in the series meet EN50155, making them suitable for railway applications.

The TEQ 200WIR power blocks come in a rugged, sealed, heatsink-style metal case which can be chassis mounted, allowing the units to operate at temperatures up to +70°C with no derating and up to +90°C with power derating.

The blocks feature a wide 4:1 input voltage range up to 160VDC, efficiency levels approaching 90%, and output voltages ranging from 12 to 48VDC.

The power blocks, manufactured by TRACO, incorporate an EN 55022, class A compliant input filter as well as output voltage trimming, remote on/off and under voltage lock-out.

According to Powersolve, the very wide input voltage range and reverse input voltage protection make these converters a workable solution for battery operated systems.
