Positive slope equalisers optimise system performance

Fairview Microwave has just released a new line of positive slope equalisers which exhibit a fixed attenuation response that increases linearly over broadband frequencies. These equalisers are ideal in compensating for gain variation and optimising performance in systems where excessive losses may occur at the low end of the frequency band.

This broadband performance makes them ideal for a variety of applications involved in aerospace and defense, MILCOM and SATCOM, wireless infrastructure, and test and measurement.

Fairview Microwave’s new series of positive slope equalisers are made up of 18 models that cover octave and broadband frequencies from 500MHz to 40GHz. These 50 ohm designs are specified with fixed equalising values that range from 2 to 8 dB, feature low insertion loss levels of 1 dB to 3 dB, and have high CW input power handling up to +30 dBm (one watt).

“Products of this caliber normally require 10-12 week lead-times, but we are able to offer 18 high-quality, high-performance equaliser models with no MOQ and same-day shipping,” said Tim Galla, Senior Product Line Manager.

Fairview Microwave’s new positive slope equalisers are in-stock and available for immediate shipping.
