A focus on quiet and safe power supplies for medical and industrial use will be highlighted at the TDK-Lambda stand at this year's electronica in Munich (13 - 15 November 2018).

The company will be showcasing its QM8 series of AC/DC power supplies (pictured), which extend the QM series of 700 to 1500W modular power supplies.

They have operating efficiency up to 91% which reduces internal heat losses and enables the use of quiet, low speed fans for cooling. The supplies accept inputs ranging from 90 to 264V AC at 47 to 440Hz to deliver between 1200 and 1500W output, making them suitable for body floating (BF) -rated medical equipment, test and measurement, broadcast, communications and renewable energy applications.

Earlier this year, the company also introduced the CUS100ME series of medical and industrial AC/DC power supplies. The 100W Class I and Class II 2.0 x 4.0-inch (50 x 100mm) medical and industrial power supplies deliver 75W in 85°C ambient temperature with only 1m/s airflow, yet can provide up full power up to 70°C with conduction cooling.
