BEAR Power Supplies have introduced a self-monitoring AC-DC converter for outdoor industrial applications. The converter is suitable for use in remote areas using generators, photovoltaics or other alternative sources, oil and gas exploration and extraction, as well as other outdoor industrial and transportable systems applications.

This dual-input power supply allows an industrial system to run on AC with an auxiliary 24V DC input providing back-up power to the universal AC input. The self-monitoring feature allows a system processor to monitor the power supply’s output current, output voltage and temperature over an I2C bus interface.

Operating over a temperature range from -40 to +70°C, the 75W industrial power supply offers high vibration tolerance. This makes it particularly suited for use as part of an outdoor transportable measurement system. With standard outputs of +12 and +24V, custom voltages are available on request. Measuring 6.5x4x1.25", other form factors are also possible on request.

All BEAR industrial power supplies can be customised to meet OEM requirements for power, voltage, form factor, number of outputs and other specifications. Pricing starts at $100 (USD) in OEM volumes.
