Serving medical and ITE applications, TRUMPower has launched an addition to its AC/DC switching power supply line-up, with the TWM280 series. The compact (3x5x1.18”) open frame unit is capable of delivering 280W of continuous output power at 18CFM forced air or 210W with convection cooling.

It has a typical active efficiency of over 91% and features a power factor of 0.9 to 0.95. The power supply can withstand voltage of 5656VDC from input to output, 2121VDC from input to ground, and 2121VDC from output to ground. The series includes 5 standard models of single 12, 24, 28, 48 and 54V power supplies, with an earth leakage current typically measuring 100µA maximum at 264VAC.

Operating at a 90-264 VAC universal input, the TWM280 series comes with remote inhibit, +5V standby power and +12V fan output. Output connector options include screw terminal block, mini fit, and JST connectors. The units operate in ambient temperatures of 0 to +70°C, with derating required from 100% at +51°C linearly to 50% at +70°C. Its minimum MTBF at full load and 25°C ambient temperature is 300,000 hours.

The TWM280 series complies with RoHS requirements and EMC standards that include EN55011, EN55022 & FCC Class B, EN 60601-1-2, EN 55024. It is approved to medical and ITE safety standards including UL/IEC/EN 60601-1 3rd edition and UL/IEC/EN 60950-1 2nd edition, and is compliant to 2 MOPP and 1 MOOP protections.

The TWM280 series is competitively priced in OEM quantities and units are available from stock to 8 weeks ARO.
