Excelsys Technologies now offers its customers the ability to configure their own application specific power supplies online and purchase from their nearest authorised distributor. A simple wizard guides customers through setting the required output voltage and current needs. It allows selection of options such as, power fail signal, remote inhibit and enable, a standby +5VDC supply, thermal control signals, reverse fan direction and medical safety approvals if required.
The next step configures the specified power supply, indicates the correct Excelsys chassis and powerMod output modules required, indicates the final weight, delivery time and allocates a unique model number reference. A customer specific datasheet for the exact configuration can then be downloaded greatly simplifying project documentation and qualification procedures.

The final step requests the customer to enter his contact and delivery information and submit the order request. On receipt of the completed configurator Excelsys will advise the nearest authorised reseller from its global distribution network and the order will be processed.

Gary Duffy, Managing Director of Excelsys Technologies, comments. “Our customers are always seeking ways to reduce new product development times and lead times of components and sub-assemblies. Our online configurator allows design engineers to discover if their particular requirements are within our capabilities and is also a simple and quick way to order pre-configured units which exactly match their requirements.”

The Excelsys Technologies offer ultra-high efficiency, small footprint, highly configurable multi-output power supplies on very short lead times. Models are available with output power from 100 – 1200W and with output voltage options from 1VDC to 58VDC. All models have a universal input range, 85-264VAC, over voltage protection and will operate at full load up to 50°C.

Typical applications include, industrial control systems, instrumentation, n+1 and redundant power systems, test and measurement equipment, printing, telecomms, medical electronic systems and IT power.
