Website focuses on Power Solutions for Naval and Commercial Marine Power Systems

www.marinepowerelectronics.co.uk is a new web resource launched by Gresham Power Electronics, the Salisbury based MIL and commercial power solutions specialist. With over 30 years of experience supplying power conversion systems to Naval ship builders around the world Gresham are now offering their expertise to the commercial shipping and offshore exploration markets.
Gresham designs and manufactures a variety of best-in-class, high density power solutions for use by the Military and Commercial markets. They have supplied equipment to virtually all of the Royal Navy’s submarine and surface fleet. Over the years a strong export business has been established and Gresham’s equipment is deployed by many foreign Navies from Australia to Malaysia, Oman to Turkey. Latest designs are now in build stage in support of a number of current European warship building programmes including the S-80 submarines and Scorpene Class submarines. Gresham is the chosen supplier for Converted Supplies and UPSs for the Royal Navy's new AAW.

Typical products manufactured by Gresham include Transformer Rectifiers (TRU) for ships fire door control systems, Battery Chargers and DC Back-UP and Emergency Power Distribution systems, Static Frequency Converters (SFC) to 60KVA at frequency ranges between 50 – 400Hz for gyros, radar and specialist surveillance systems, AC and DC Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) up to 40KVA, Automatic Change Over Switches (ACOS) for automatic and back-up power switching.
