The series consists of two models capable of sinking up to 350W in a compact benchtop form factor. The 8550 (150V / 30A) and 8551 (150V / 60A) both feature a 4.3” display and are well equipped for evaluating DC power supplies, DC/DC converters, batteries, battery chargers, and photovoltaic arrays.
User-configurable list, transient, and automatic test modes offer dynamically changing load conditions. The built-in battery discharge mode simplifies battery testing with configurable stop conditions for an added layer of protection. Additionally, this series features convenient power supply test functions for evaluating load regulation, overshoot/undershoot, and protection limits of a DC power supply.
Operating software and battery test software are provided for remote PC control and monitoring through the RS232 interface. The general-purpose handler interface simplifies integration with PLC devices. Measurement data and other parameters can be logged directly to a flash drive connected to the front panel USB host port.
The 8550 Series comes standard with a 3-year warranty and a starting list price of $890.
