New hybrid stepper with integrated encoder solution

The new NEMA 17 (□42mn), NEMA 23 (□57mn) and NEMA 34 (□86mn) hybrid stepper motors from Sonceboz integrate a highly precise, encapsulated magnetic rotary encoder which enables permanent angle sensing.

This non-contact encoder features an extremely compact design, boasting a 20% reduction in size compared to optical encoders once installed on a sturdy hybrid motor in the 6540, 6600 and 6630 Series.

It features a resolution of up to 5920 increments per rotation and offers a user-programmable position index as well as A and B output signals. Its 0.3° linearity guarantees a highly measurement accuracy.

This electromechanical solution is particularly suited to applications requiring intelligent, precise, reliable and compact electrical drive. Depending on the series of the motor selected, the holding torque may be as high as 9 Nm. This intelligent motor is durable and resistant to demanding environments, operating in a wide range of temperatures [-40°C; +125°C].
