TRUMPower introduces the 400W TMPC-400E medically approved ATX PC power supply, which features enhanced power on the +3.3V, +12V, and +5Vsb outputs as well as monotonic rise time. With its 90-264 VAC universal input and active PFC, the power supply can be used globally without changing input settings.

The series is approved to IEC/EN/UL 60601-1 Edition 3.1, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1:2012, CSA C22.2 No. 60601-1: 2014, the 2nd edition of IEC 60950-1, and IEC/EN 60601-1-2 4th edition medical EMC standards. Earth leakage current is 150µA maximum at 264 VAC, 60Hz. It has an MTBF > 154,400 hours at full load and 25°C ambient, calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F.

The TMPC-400E meets 80PLUS Bronze with its efficiency of 80% minimum at full load and complies with ATX12V and EPS12V standards. It consists of DC voltage outputs and maximum loads of +3.3V/32A, +5V/30A, dual +12V/18A, -12V/0.8A, +5Vsb/3A, -5V/0.2A respectively.

The maximum overall output is 400W, with +12V1 and +12V2 not exceeding 32A and the combined output of +3.3V and +5V limited to 180W.  The rise time of all output voltages, including +5Vsb, is less than 20msec (measured from the 10% point to the 90% point on the waveform), and the rise is smooth and monotonic. Any overshoot on each output at power-on or power-off is less than 10% of its nominal value.

The power supply contains a thermally controlled low noise ball-bearing fan as well as a power switch. Other features include short circuit protection on all outputs, over voltage protection, over current protection, low ripple and noise, and 0-50ºC operating temperature. With dimensions of 150x86x140mm, the unit comes with a standard output cable-set, which includes the 20+4 pin ATX motherboard connector, 4-pin Molex, SATA power connectors, that is suitable for most PC-related applications. Alternatively, custom cable-sets can be ordered as well.
