Maxim’s high-voltage BiCMOS process enables the integration of scan drivers with the LCD power supply to save space and cost in ultra-slim notebook computers. Additionally, the scan driver features an innovative gate-shading function to drive the GOA panel while lowering overall power consumption.
The integrated MOSFET boost converter reduces overall BOM cost by eliminating the need for an external MOSFET. The high-current operational amplifier offers fast slew rates (40V/microsecond, typ) and a high bandwidth (16 MHz), making it ideal for driving the LCD backplane. The seven scan driver outputs swing 40V (max) between +35V (max) and -15V (min) to swiftly drive the gate capacitance of the LCD backplane.
