The TI ADS112C04 ADC, available from Mouser Electronics, features two differential or four single ended inputs through a flexible input multiplexer (MUX), two programmable excitation current sources, programmable gain amplifier (PGA), a voltage reference, a clock oscillator, and a precision temperature sensor.
The device offers two conversion modes, single-shot or continuous, and can perform conversions at data rates up to 2,000 samples-per-second (SPS) with single cycle settling. At 20 SPS, the device’s digital filter offers simultaneous 50Hz and 60Hz rejection for noisy industrial applications.
The ADS112C04 features a Two Wire, I2C-compatible interface that supports I2C bus speeds up to 1Mbps, with two address pins that allow selection of 16 different I2C addresses for the device. The 5.0×4.40mm TSSOP device operates from a wide supply range of 2.3 to 5.5V over a temperature range of minus 40 to 125°C.
The ADS112C04 ADC is supported by the ADS112C04EVM evaluation and Delta-Sigma ADC EvaluaTIon Software, which help engineers reduce prototype development time and get products to market faster.
